1. The programme only operates in specified local authorities.
  2. The programme relies on voluntary funding, and while The Share Foundation will ensure that any young person who is registered will be able to complete the Stepladder, availability of the programme to new registrants is subject to withdrawal at any time.
  3. Step awards are made into the young person’s Junior Individual Savings Account (Junior ISA) at the rate specified.
  4. The programme is open to young people in care who hold a valid Junior ISA which has been opened on their behalf by The Share Foundation and who are aged between 15 and 17 years 10 months old on the date of initial registration.
  5. While participants are welcome to seek guidance from carers or teachers or others in submitting their entries, the answers and ideas should be theirs and be expressed in their own words.
  6. All entries into the programme will remain the property of The Share Foundation, and the identity of each participant will remain undisclosed. Entries may be used by The Share Foundation to help raise additional donations for Junior ISAs administered by The Share Foundation.
  7. Any extension to programme dates will be at the sole discretion of The Share Foundation.
  8. Programme participants are requested to keep The Share Foundation informed of their progress in employment or further education following completion of the Stepladder of Achievement, and to consider acting as a volunteer or mentor for the benefit of other scheme participants.
  9. Programme participants personal information will be held securely by The Share Foundation. It will not share your personal information with any third parties.
